Biography

Sueco the Child, real name William Schultz, was born in 1997. He started making music at a young age and made a name for himself as a producer and beatmaker in his early 20s. He is known for his viral TikTok content, which often focuses on him producing music using odd sounds, as well as for his music as Sueco the Child.

Before the release of “Fast,” William put out “Henny in the Trunk, a mumble-rap single with an atmospheric sound. Sueco the Child’s debut album, Miscreant, was released via Atlantic Records in 2019. The album was produced by Sueco and Jerell Ware and was mixed and mastered by Samir Akhter and Tyler Bondar.  The eight songs on Miscreant include “Dork,” “Cayman,” “Sober,” and Sueco’s viral hit, “Fast.” The album clocks in at a relatively short 23 minutes and 48 seconds, causing it to sit somewhere between EP and LP status.  After the release of his 2019 debut, Sueco continued working on music and releasing content via TikTok. His subsequent releases have included “SOS,” a track that features Travis Barker of Blink-182, and “Speed Me Up,” a song that was featured on the soundtrack for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie.  “SOS” has gained over 4 million plays on Spotify and was followed by an acoustic reworking. “Speed Me Up” is a collaboration between Sueco, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Yachty, and Ty Dolla Sign. It’s one of Sueco’s most popular tracks on Spotify, gaining over 24 million plays on the platform.

As of 2021, “Fast” is still Sueco’s most popular track. The viral phenomenon has gained over 130 million plays on Spotify, making it Sueco’s most-played song on streaming platforms. In addition to being released as a single, the song was remixed and re-released featuring Boogie Wit da Hoodie. The remixed track has over 54 million streams on Spotify. Sueco is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. With hundreds of millions of streams under his belt and a significant following on TikTok, the self-made star has quickly become a household name.
